Turnin' Headz (5:28)
Noise Theory (5:51)

Day 1 (5:45)
Review: Assembler Code & Jensen Interceptor are one of electro's most devastating duos right now. Mechatronica welcome them for four more hard hitting jams after their "Vapour Waves" EP on this label got plenty of people talking. These are tunes with an old school feel that will blow up your bass bins and tear apart your tweeters with their mix of low end heaviness and bright melodic patterns. Superbly urgent drum programming sweeps you off your feet and races you through astral skies on "Noise Theory", "Otherwise" has a raggedy-ass broken beat and "Day 1" has a blistering bassline of the highest order.

Random Pain (5:47)

Drive Shift (7:02)
Drive Shift (The Hacker remix) (6:23)
Review: More from regular studio partners Assembler Code and Jenson Interceptor, whose previous joint EPs for Boyznoize, Private Persons and Cultivated Electronics were little less than essential. First, turn your attention to superb opener "Random Pain", a melodious and evocative deep electro cut that morphs into something dirtier, darker and far more hard-hitting midway through. "HRL6" is altogether moodier and more Drexciyan in tone, while flipside opener "Drive Shift" fixes elastic electronics and gently pulsing motifs to an altogether more relaxed and rolling 4/4 electro groove. It comes accompanied by an altogether darker and moodier remix by The Hacker that boasts raw electronics, spacey bleeps and a slightly paranoid vibe.

Programmed To Consume (6:27)
Glass Tears (5:11)
Body Count (6:04)
Just A Ride (6:21)
Review: Cardopusher's latest release - the Barcelona-based artist's first for Mechatronica - is pleasingly retro-futurist in tone, building on the stylish fusions of EBM, industrial, new wave, acid and techno he's previously offered up on Dark Entries, Boysnoize, Dalmata Daniel and Super Rhythm Trax. Rooted in analogue hardware, the four tracks mix druggy, Nitzer Ebb style arpeggio basslines and clattering, sometimes jacking rhythm tracks with distant vocal samples and occasional hard-edged, mind-altering electronic motifs. It's all very muscular, forthright and dancefloor-focused, with the deliciously raw and druggy "Just A Ride" and soaring "Programmed To Consume" - all rising lead lines, big chords and bustling machine drums - standing out.

The Weir (5:23)
Review: Earlier in the year, Ali Renault rebooted his Cestrian alias after a five-year hiatus via a suitably throbbing EP on E-Beamz. Here he goes one step further, pitching up on Mechatronica with a six-track mini-album of atmospheric, otherworldly treats. Highlights come thick and fast throughout, from the sludgy, hypnotic electro drums, foreboding chords and glacial electronic melodies of opener "Gradients", to the Drexciya style peak-time punch of "The Weir", via the wild acid bass, distorted beat-box drums and mind-altering computer electronics of "Cat Strain". Also worth checking is the druggy, industrial-tinged, pitched-down weirdness of "Everything" and the cheeky, Kraftwerk-sampling bustle of "Speak and Spell".

Cosmic Ghetto (3:33)
Review: Credit 00 continues to be one of the most fascinating weirdniks from Dresden's Uncanny Valley, offering up cheeky electro with heaps of personality. On a return visit to Berlin label Mechatronica, he's not holding back a jot on the wild-style ideas. Just listen to 'Ratlife In The Sunshine', which creates a hybridised footwork-Miami bass style twist up of Roy Ayers' 'Everybody Loves The Sunshine' with all the soul replaced by gnarliness. If that sounds like sacrilege, fear not - your boy Rat Life has the swerve to pull it off. The electro might be slightly more focused on the B-side, but these tracks still spit with non-conformist energy which is so very welcome when many stick to a very established genre formula.

Review: Berlin-based record label and collective Mechatronica welcome Ctrls for a mutant EP of brain-boggling electro sounds. 'You Win' is hurried but uneasy with squealing synths before 'The Wash' traps you in infinite loops of twisted electro-techno futurism. 'NP Soup' is a bass-driven and cavernous sound that lurches back and forth then the flispide offers a pair of texturally rich Ctrls remixes. This is a forward-thinking collection of music that is destined to make an indelible impact on minds as well as dance floors.

Review: Mechatronica are a Berlin-based promoter, label and collective, whose main screed is enthusiasm for the joining of man and machine. Driven by a passion for the connection between humans, mechanics and electronics, their parties center on such cultural centres as Sameheads and Griessmuhle. DL-MS is their latest nonhuman addition to the roster; a dystopian electro soundscape in which not even the minutest cluster of organic life can escape its artificially intelligent clutches.

False Memories (4:50)
Magnetic Practice (5:45)
Fluid Theory (5:35)
School Of Common Sense (5:00)
Review: Fresh from delivering a superb debut album on Pinkman - the IDM, acid, breaks and electro fusion of Generatie Desinteresse - former Brkntoys artist Gamma Intel makes his bow on Mechatronica. He hits the ground running with the wild, acid-fired breakbeat-electro insanity of 'False Memories', before blurring the boundaries between electro, experimental drum and bass and trippy drug-chug on the odd (but genuinely superb) 'Magnetic Practice'. His love of early jungle style breakbeats is explored further on 'Fluid Theory', where a menacing, elongated analogue bassline rides skittish and crunchy drums, while closing cut 'School of Common Sense' is a thrillingly weird, out-there trip that flits between oddball modular ambience and moody, hot-stepping post-dubstep grooves.

Review: Serge Geyzel debuts on Mechatronica with a killer collection of hypnotic electro, twisted acid lines, futuristic breaks and gut-wrenching machinefunk. Prioritizing the low end before anything else - and letting any further high end strokes spit through the top end like hard-limited overflows of dry ice - the likes of 'Ready?' and 'Sag' lift all embargos on the more involuntary-movement-inducing aspects of the electro sound, importing a huge sense of weight sure to rattle tweeters and bins alike. It makes sense for Geyzel to join the Mechatronica ranks; he's all but surrendered to our Landian machine overlords with this one, toning down any remaining semblance of humanism for a logcial continuation of the "kamikaze" approach explored on his Love Kamikaze project from 2022. A whopping sextet of tracks, facing the promise of our impending apocalypse head-on.

Beat Nouveau (Gamma Intel remix) (7:11)
Tat Ark (6:04)
Beau Geste (6:12)
Review: Earlier this year, Florian Stoffelbauer donned the Heap alias for the first time in 14 months for an EP of pitched-down jams bristling with lo-fi synthesizer melodies and crispy drum machine hits. On "Beat Nouveau", his first EP for Mechatronica, he further develops this sound, drawing influence from the mid-tempo bump, trippy acid lines and faintly foreboding melodies of 1980s Belgian new beat. The title track sets the tone, with Stoffelbauer reaching for angular, alien electronics, moody bass, bubbly acid lines and eight-bit computer game melodies. The Gamma Intel remix of the same track is arguably even more druggy and foreboding, while "Tat Ark" is a psychedelic shuffle through slow electro drums and mind-altering electronics. If pitched-down ambient techno is your thing, closing cut "Beau Geste" should be essential listening.

Review: In the busy field of modern day electro, Alex Jann's star continues to rise following standout performances on Censor, Infiltrate and Dance Trax. Now it's Mechatronica who are carrying his brittle, intense workouts, with 'Psy Culture' instantly nodding to those who prefer their electro in the DJ Stingray vein. The uptempo, angular machinations continue apace with 'Data Exploit', 'Infomaterial' and 'Kill Disk', while 'Let Us Control Your Mind' slows down just a touch and lets some seriously slippery acid textures creep into the mix. This is dystopian electro gear of the highest order - use it wisely and it won't let you down.

Keine Angst (Dollkraut remix) (5:23)
Strassenmensch (feat Nils Fock) (4:01)
Herdenimmunitat (8:54)
Review:
After serving up his well received Red Pyramid EP, L.F.T. is back with more fearless futurists visions. He calls upon Nils Fock for vocals and Dollkraut for a blistering remix on the flip. 'Keine Angst' is actually quite angsty, with crashing hits and stiff EBM/cold wave designs that are filthy dirty and full of punk revolt. That Dollkraut remix is more slowed down and spacious, creating an eerie, textural atmosphere before 'Strassenmensch' is a hyper speed, ice cold and dystopian electro-techno track with brilliantly stiff synth sequences. 'Herdenimmunitat' rounds out in acid madness. This release is dedicated to Gabi Delgado-Lopez and is a one time only pressing.

Review: L.F.T.'s brand of electro is punked out and industrial, with flashes of acid and EBM toughening it further. The mesmeric lead on "Red Pyramid" is a brilliantly psychedelic one that morphs and contours before your very ears, turning your mind in on itself many times over. "Chemical Confidence" is as brash as the title suggest and "Anti Tune" is a skittish beat with real snap. The flip-side closes out with two angst riddled, fist clenching electro bangers. If you want to make a real impact on a dark, strobe lit club, look no further.

It's a collision of delicate electro and dystopian machine funk, that is all evocatively detailed with the haunting vocals of DALO and futuristic atmospheres. After a scene-setting intro comes the blistering workout that is 'Escapism' and a further electro-tech banger in 'Sonic Impact" (feat DALO)'. Review: Strap in and prepare for a wild ride on this one as Maelstrom links with DeFeKT to serve up some searing electro/techno fusions that are designed to shake your bones loose. "Heat Wave" is a real slap around the face with its corrugated bassline and coruscated percussion. It's a high impact, high speed track while "Three Channels" is all twitching synth paranoia for peak time freak outs. Flipside "Naoned" piles on the pressured with warped bass and busted hits soaked in industrial textures before the most brash and confrontational cut of the lot - "Dublin" - closes things out in real face-melting fashion.

Review: Fred Shepherd has been laying down thick slabs of electro for the past six years under the No Moon alias, taking in labels like X-Kalay, Echo Vortex, Craigie Knowes and Church. Now he's landing on Mechatronica with five new works, leading in with the compression chamber sonics of 'No Way Back' which doesn't need to roll fast to make its imposing presence felt. 'Small Moves' takes the interstellar elevator in pursuit of its own bruising intentions, while 'Go 2 Bed' locks into a more familiar mode of machine funk for the mid-tempo massive. 'Vegetarian At The BBQ' keeps things pinging and ponging atop those hard-ass drums, and 'All Roads Lead To Hear' winds things up with a rapid, bleepy selection for when the night wants to get a touch more delirious.

Review: Fresh from delivering the killer General Maintenance EP to No Static / Automatic, Ben Pest bounces his lysergic electro wares over to Mechatronica Music and once again lays down the law in terms of brain-tweaking machine funk. As '8 Octavial' demonstrates, there are no prisoners being taken here as Pest gleefully piles on thick layers of cybernetic sound juggled with a masterful touch. It's absolutely rolling and rave ready, but there's also more than enough detail pinging around these mixes to keep a headphone raver happy. Don't overlook the edgy pings and plongs of 'VCS Wig' or the playful synthetic soul touches of 'Strict Saws', which might well be the best joint on the whole record.

Review: Poly Chain is the brainchild of Kyiv-born Sasha Zakrevska, who follows up her Fairy Disco LP from last year with this six-strong EP of cold and calculating electro workouts for Mechatronica. The likes of 'IRIS-T' favour a breakneck pace and the kind of steely sound design which aligns with DJ Stingray's approach as a DJ and producer. On the B side, 'Tryton' and 'ATACMS' play around with some more fluid synth shapes, but the mood remains tough and edgy throughout this knockout release from a sharp-rising talent in the electro field.

From bleeped out machine funk to high speed electro via twisted bass music, retro IDM and all manner of busted up rhythms and playful sound designs, it all adds up to a fun but sophisticated work of art. Right from the off you cannot help but get your ass shaking with the title track's pinging bass notes, then 'Cold Snap' is a twitchy electro fusion and 'Lotto Kix' is a ragged ride through the farthest edges of the cosmos. All in all a great distillation of all forms of body music.

Review: Drawn together by a common "passion for the connection between man, mechanics and electronics", the artists on Mechatronica label all well-versed in the art of electro. Veterans Sync24 and Luke Eargoggle team up for the master-blaster that is "Broken Electronix", a menacing stab of a groove that dissolves into the more granular computer-world of "Never See" by UHU. On the flip, "Miss You" by Privacy is dark, spectral and hollow, while "Super-Translations" by Etcher feels like a ride on the same aquatic waves of electro giants like Drexciya. Excellent stuff.

Review: Zeta Reticula is an astronomically space-age artist, having named themselves after a constellation, lending their chops to various starbound labels (this one coming to the one and only Mechatronica), and rivaling the work of even the most preeminent space-lectro artists. 'CLONE' judders with the tyrannical crunch of a giant drone-replication machine, telling its story via thick and piercing dance cuts C.L.O.N.E., Host Star and Dark Skies.
