  1. On The Floor (Studio 54 mix) (6:39)
Review: One of the true underground heroes of the Detroit techno scene, Dwayne Jensen has been there from the beginning and worked with everyone from Kevin Saunderson to Scott Grooves and Norm Talley, to name but a few. His own productions have featured on a who's who of labels from Soiree, Rawax, his own Fathom imprint and of course London's Landed: who for Record Store Day 2017 present this. Treat yourself to his new edit entitled "On The Floor" (Studio 54 mix). We sure know this one: it's an oldie but a goodie and Jensen shows his deft hand at re-splicing a classic disco tune for modern dancefloors.

Travlin EP (white vinyl 12")
Cat: LANDEDREC 005. Rel: 30 May 12
Deep House
  1. Ion
  2. Travlin
  3. Analog Dreams
Review: Motor-City legend Norm Talley has had one hell of a comeback since his hiatus at the end of the 90s. Since 2009, he's reignited his peerless talent behind the production desk and London-based Landed Records have come through with what is probably his biggest EP yet. "Ion" kicks things off with style and panache, merging beautiful chords together with Talley's inimitable percussion style - dicing hi-hats all round! The title track, "Travlin" is a sublime jazzed-out piece for the small hours whilst "Analog Dreams" is just pure hardware delight - those gritty drums delivering some serious action alongside the meandering pads and subdued vocals. Get to know!

Adjustment Of Status (orange vinyl 12")
Cat: LANDEDREC 007. Rel: 28 Feb 13
Deep House
  1. Ancient Tongues
  2. The Day B4 Forever
  3. Daddy's Theme
Review: If Rick Wade sleeps, his machines don't. The Adjustments Of Status EP is his fifth missive for the year and comes via Landed Records. The London label clearly has affections for the Motor City, having already released material from well known Detroit alumni Norm Talley and Dwayne Jensen so the addition of Wade to their schedule makes for perfect sense. Dusty samples and weighted beats make up "Ancient Tongues", while "The Day B4 Forever" builds in pace, keeping Wade deep through his beautiful use of melodious Rhodes and pitched vocals that sound like something from Aphex Twins 'Windowlicker". "Daddy's Theme" is the most disco inspired track on the EP with flutes and strings swooning in time to Wade's trademark boom-tish house beats and shakers.
