  3. Guede (VRIL 13th Symphony Of Artifacts remix) (7:06)
  4. Mantra (Eduardo De La Calle remix) (6:47)
Review: Released back in 2017, DJ Hell's Zukunftsmusik has already seen a fair share of remixes, but this volume could feature some of the finest yet. They are all fairly heavy hitters, perfectly suited to dank warehouse spaces with minimal lighting and powerful sound systems. From opener by Berlin trio Fjaak providing one of the EP's standout moments, with a blistering rework of the title track, to the hypnotic tunnel vision of "Mantra" first remixed by Italian Marco Faraone (Uncage, Rekids, Drumcode) or the legend Eduardo De La Calle's deep space sonar transmission on the flip which was sublime. VRIL gets in on the action too, with a terrific perspective of "Guede" which gets his 13th Symphony Of Artifacts remix - taking the German producer's dub techno sound into even more twisted territory.

  1. Anything, Anytime (extended version) (14:13)
  2. Anything, Anytime (Solomun remix) (7:34)
Review: Long serving International Deejay Gigolos boss DJ Hell is having rather a productive year. His latest release, which follows on from the unashamedly Kraftwerk-esque "Car, Car, Car", sees him explore a range of woozy, downtempo influences from the late '70s and early '80s. At 14 minutes long, the extended version of "Anything Anytime" is something of an epic. It never outstays its welcome, though, with Hell using it as an opportunity to tease out a woozy, lovable, heart-felt soundscape smothered in dirt-encrusted electronics, warm vintage synthesizer flourishes and a quirky vocoder vocal. And, of course, some rather odd modular pulses. Solomun provides a more dancefloor-centric remix on the flipside, smartly re-inventing the track as a chunk of bubbling dancefloor electro.

  11. K House (3:48)
  12. Wild At Art (5:32)
  13. Inferno (part 2) (1:50)
Review: Eight years after Teufelswerk, an album in which Hell called up giants like Bryan Ferry and P Diddy for creative adventures, International Deejay Gigolo Hell presents his fifth album Zukunftmusik. A much more personal affair, written and created with Peter Kruder, the album takes a deep dive into Hell's psyche. His inspirations, fears and fascinations all laid bare as we glide and slide from the poignant ballad of "Anywhere Anytime" to sinewy, sinister 6am acid ("Guede") via orchestrated cinematic synthesis ("K House" and "Inferno") to strident slices of evocative and highly narrative house music such as "Wild At Art". Hewn together with shades of experimentation and timeless pop science, Hell's created something incredibly special here.

Review: German veterans Thomas Meinecke and David Moufang have a long history of collaboration, dating back to the turn of the millennium. Meinecke is a legendary producer that got his beginnings in Germany's new wave scene (in band FSK) in the early '80s, while Moufang should need no introduction really - the Source Records boss collaborated in the seminal Deep Space Network with co-head Jonas Grossman, and most recently in Magic Mountain High with Juju & Jordash. Originally released in 2009, this collection of coarse, New York ballroom referencing tracks get a much awaited reissue here on DJ Hell's Gigolo imprint. Moufang and Meinecke explored this pioneering musical scene, utilising countless samples, paired with statements by those involved (dance veterans, drag queens, DJs) with their own voices and instruments.

  1. Toxic People (7:08)
  2. Dreamz (6:06)
Review: Brazilian-Austrian DJ/producer/vocalist Joyce Muniz teams up with Demetr1us on her new dancefloor bomb "Toxic People" for DJ Hell's revered Gigolo imprint. This follows up some terrific releases of late for Exploited, 20:20 Vision and Gruuv. The heaving title track has the main room right before peak-time in mind - and is perfect for those strobe-lit tunnel vision moments. On the flip, be prepared for the euphoric summertime bounce of "Dreamz" which is exactly the kind of groove you can expect to be hearing at an open-air party on The White Isle this season.
