Review: UK's Christian B (Christian Ballard) & Lavvy Levan (nice one!) created Friday Fox Recordings in 2013 to provide an outlet for their house music ventures.Their funky and feelgood nu-disco jam "Through The Night" nails the same vibe as Mark E's classic "R&B Drunkie" from several years back. Russia's Promonova follows up a great release on King Street last year with his surefire funk edit "Feel Alright This Morning". On the flip there's more highlights, with Riki Inocente's late night funky house remix of B and Levan's second contribution "No Trouble" and finally Rapson's ode to the NYC deep sound "Heat" (Exclusive extended mix). Think Mr V or Quentin Harris and featuring the vocal talents of Nathan Thomas over a soulful arrangement and it's very good!
