Hello Mainframe EP
Cat: EXIT 088. Rel: 03 Mar 20
  1. The Happy Goose (& Friends) (5:52)
  2. SE17 (5:17)
  3. Pattern Collapse (6:29)
  4. Interlinked (4:52)
Review: If you're familiar with dBridge's Exit Records you've almost definitely already bought this one. If you're not, let's just say the prolific producer and label boss, best known for drum 'n' bass although never restricted to genre, heads up an imprint that's also at the cutting edge of broken rave-y noises, and has again struck gold with this one. Whether you'd prefer to categorise contents as electro, leftfield breaks or half-beat experiments is down to personal choice and how tracks are read on a personal level. When all is said and done, each of those descriptions is accurate, and everything is defined by a futuristic atmosphere that seems to take ears and bodies into the cosmos. Equally effective on dancefloors as they are bed or front room, here be next level stuff.

  8. Worst Impulse (6:04)
Review: Drum & bass innovator DBridge has rarely done wrong in his long career. His last album was a perfect reflection of the times - dark and paranoid - and now he continues in that vein with a new collection of tunes on his latest album Weak Or No Signal. He draws on his 15 years of experience to pul together a range of rhythms from taught and tense like 'Dark Plains' to minimal rollers like 'HMT13' via gurgling, depraved, moody sluggers like 'Things Change.' Is as diverse a drum & bass album as you will get while also remaining true to his own unique style.

Cat: EXIT 093. Rel: 29 Sep 20
  1. Chincy (3:38)
  2. Cutlass (5:04)
  3. Eighty Four (5:42)
Review: Neil Landstrumm on Exit Records.... This was only a matter of time. Where Neil has consistently stood in techno, dBridge has in drum & bass. The pair are kindred spirits and it's freeform, guileless analogue jams like these that really highlight their shared interests and approaches. Created using pretty much only an MPC and Moog, jamming in the way the Scottish maverick always has, each cut hits a machine funk rawness; 'Chincy' is Neil's take on trap with rainbows of 80s electronic showered over the mix, 'Cutlass' is straight up '93 jungle while 'Eighty Four' is your quintessential electro body popper. A match made in analog heaven.

Paradise EP (remixes)
Cat: EXIT 058R. Rel: 03 Aug 15
Drum And Bass
  1. Paradise (dB Glitch Slap edit) (4:01)
  2. Movements (Machinedrum remix) (4:42)
Review: Two extremely cheeky remixes here from some unusual suspects. First up, the legendary owner of Exit Records DBridge brings "Paradise" up to another level with glitch after glitch layered surgically precise to bring the whole beautiful soundboard together. On the flip, Machinedrum adds his footwork flavoured style to "Movements", creating an irresistible dancefloor filler in his own 'laid back on top, shufflin' like crazy below' style. Two stunning tracks remixed to true mindblowing effect. This is how it's done.
