Review: Discodromo's playfully titled CockRing d'Amore edit series hits its fourth chapter with three hypnotic, transcendental edits from respected Osaka groove sculptor and selector Mori Ra. Three unnamed tracks, the focus should be strictly on the soul at play... The sweeping cinematica and narrative of "Track 1", the glistening cascades and layered vibraphone elements of "Track 2" and the lolloping, Nordic-feeling chugger finale. Chimes, electric bass and distant fiddles a-go-go, it's another singular trip from both Mori and a highly limited dispatch from CockTail d'Amore.
Review: Serial editor, funk wizard and vinyl junkie Jonny Rock slides into CockTail D'Amore's Cockring inbox with four sweaty nudes of his own. As always, expertly dug and revisioned, we range from the 80s Miami freestyle of "Track 1" to the swampy cosmic fuzzy blues of "Track 4" by way of Italo bliss and dubby proto house. On point curation and production throughout; sleeping on this is punishable by funk law.
Review: Given that Cocktail D'Amore's first entry into the re-edit arena, CockRing D'Amore, landed almost a year ago, this follow-up is long overdue. Whereas that EP featured a trio of reworks from the extended family, both tracks on this solid 7" (snigger) come from Berlin-based DJ/producer Trent. He begins with the cheery European disco of "The Acrobat", where prominent horn lines rise and fall over slick funk guitars and shimmering strings. Flip for the cosmic disco-meets-cosmic rock masculinity of "The Fool", a killer fusion of elastic slap bass, eyes closed guitar solos and occasional blasts of glam rock vocals. Whip off your T-shirt and get to it (dancing, that is).

Review: As Benedikt Rugar's superbly illustrated cover art for the recent CockTail D'Amore compilation Nothing Matters When We're Dancing proved, the Berlin collective proudly celebrate their status as a forum for Berlin's gay community to fully express themselves. With no releases on the label since that compilation arrived in January, Discodromo and DJ Boris have now unveiled a sister operation with a focus on edits under the wonderful name CockRing D'Amore. The debut release features contributions from label regular Massimiliano Pagliara, the unheralded Trent and founders Discodromo.
