Review: Edward Sizzerhand is a born and bred New Yorker who has been making beats most of his life. He spent the 90s with rap crew Square One, made a name for himself and then got into beekeeping when the group disbanded (he even went on to get a BA in beekeeping from a university of agricultural economics). For this solo record he cooks up 14 odes to the buzzy things and the results are as sweet and smooth as honey. The beats are deep and thoughtful, with some lush pianos draped over the top, retro horns or jazzy keys all added into the mix. It's a warm melting pot of gooey goodness that will never age.
