Review: The 50th anniversary of Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills & Nash gets marked with this specially celebratory reissue. It has been remastered for the occasion and comes with original artwork. Back when this one was released first in March 1970 by Atlantic Records, the record soon went on to top the pop album chart for a week and generated three Top 40 singles. These are the well known 'Woodstock', 'Teach Your Children', and 'Our House' while many other highlights also feature. A timeless classic for sure.

Review: Halestorm's last album was 2018's Vicious, and since then the chart topping, hard rocking band has been working keenly on a follow up. It was proceeded by the title single with a morbid looking video fearing band member Lzzy Hale in a bodybag, and then a run of sold out gigs in club and festivals all around the UK. The full album follows up in fine style and will not disappoint fans. It was produced by Nick Raskulinecz of Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains association with co-production by Scott Stevens and showcases great songwriter laden with mental health, redemption and survival themes.

Review: Jack Harlow really seemed to break through with his last album Come Home the Kids Miss You in 2022 and now the American is back. He has plenty of flack for being a white kid rapper but for us that is way off the mark - he has some serious skills in terms of delivery but also world play and lyrical wit. The last album was a youthful one full of crushes, partying and the pressures of being someone. This new album is frustratingly short but chock full of soulful loops and boom-bap beats that keep you coming back for more. Lyrically he engages with social issues and his own place in the rap game while addressing the wider issues of hip hop appropriation. We love it.

Review: Breakout neo soul vocalist Kehlani first turned heads with her 2020 album It Was Good Until It Wasn't, then backed up that promise with her more intimate follow-up, Blue Water Road, earlier this year. The record now comes on nice clear vinyl and the US artist herself describes it an emotional journey as well as "a sexual journey, and a spiritual journey," she says the album is akin to a glass house in that it is "light, transparent, and the sun is shining through it." We agree - the production is silky, sweeping, sonorous, the vocal work just as delightfully liquid and seductive as she goes from intimate lows to empowering highs.

Review: "Luvanmusiq", by Musiq Soulchild, is crammed with full-bodied tracks that take soul music to the highest level. With combinations of funk and hip-hop, "Luvanmusiq" is a generous, open-armed declaration of heart and soul.

Review: Future and Lil Uzi Vert are two artists who have very much ushered in the new era of hip-hop. The former has been accused of obsessing over drug use, specifically opiates, and popularising them with his fans while not actually partying himself, and the latter has collaborate with everyone worth knowing. Following the release of their collaborative new album Pluto X Baby Pluto and its deluxe version comes this 7" of one of its finest tunes. It got booming drums, crisp hits and the tight bars you would expect.
