Review: Originally released in the spring of 1972, the one and only demo-album from Pasadena, California proto-metal outfit Sudden Death has gone on to become a work of psychedelic doom legend, with the band of relative youngsters even becoming finalists in the nationwide "America's Answer To Black Sabbath" artist search once upon a time. Sourced from the master tapes and made in collaboration with the original members (now full grown adults), the album finally sees its first wide distribution since a small reissue surfaced in the 90s courtesy of Rockadelic Records. Complete with a history-recapping eight-page booklet, this is a truly underappreciated hard rock cum metal proto gem worthy of all attention, praise and a place on the shelf.
