Enigma (140 gram vinyl 12" limited to 200 copies)
Cat: ALPENGLUHEN 06. Rel: 28 Jun 21
  1. Alp02
  2. Trollskogen
  3. Apnea
  4. Enigma
  5. Euklidian
Review: The talented Greek duo, Artificial DRM - who have already shown quality samples in their contributions on Koslif, De Stijl and Semantica - are responsible for this sixth Alpengluhen release.
Enigma is a homogeneous collection of five ethereal, deep and heart-warming tracks; each with intricate rhythmic sequences, layers of emotional pads and synthetic melody. Neither techno nor ambient, but something else - in between. Intelligent dance music from the heart, that goes directly to the brain - exploring the thin line between light and darkness.
As usual, 200 copies pressed.

Final Hope
Final Hope (140 gram vinyl 12" limited to 200 copies)
Cat: ALPENGLUHEN 05. Rel: 09 Nov 20
  1. Alpenrauschen (6:21)
  2. Prehistory (9:21)
  3. Restored Balance (6:55)
  4. The Carillon (6:56)
Review: Following on from excellent 12"s by Seraphim Rytm, Vand and Edit Select, Alpengluhen is back with a new deep rumination from live modular techno whizz Citty following his outing on Kvalia last year. There's a writhing, dynamic quality to the sonics coursing through 'Alpenrauschen', where the harmonically rich leads slide underneath icy sheets of atmospheric pressure. 'Prehistory' has a more smudged-out, burrowed-down quality for more subliminal techno immersion, while 'Restored Balance' takes a more meditative, slow-release approach and 'The Carillon' rounds the EP off on a more melodic, melancholic tip.

Habitual EP
Habitual EP (140 gram vinyl 12" limited to 200 copies)
Cat: LPNGLHN 04. Rel: 02 Mar 20
  1. Habitual#1 (6:41)
  2. Habitual#2 (6:43)
  3. Habitual#4 (6:20)
  4. Habitual#3 (6:14)
Review: Edit Select's legacy in electronic music is long and winding, with the past few years in particular highlighting a fierce production rate on his own label as well as Planet Rhythm, Soma, Modularz and many more. Now the Scottish deep techno voyager stops by Alpengluhen for four meditations on subliminal, richly atmospheric machine music that plays out with cinematic poise and introspection to spare. As you would expect, these four "Habitual" tracks share the same sound world, slowly unfurling powerful, textural pads around delicately crafted rhythmic incisions. No one out there does it quite like Edit Select - drop the needle down and bask in the majesty of this one-of-a-kind EP.

Mount Sinai
Mount Sinai (140 gram vinyl 12")
Cat: ALPENGLUHEN 02. Rel: 04 Mar 19
  1. Mount Sinai 1 (10:14)
  2. Mount Sinai 2 (8:07)
  3. Mount Sinai 3 (8:04)
  4. Mount Sinai 4 (12:45)
Review: Also known as Damaskin or Nino, Seraphim Rytm has been rolling through the underground for some time, shoring up at labels like New York Haunted, Silent Season and Batti Batti. Now the shadowy entity drifts onto the equally shadowy Alpengluhen label with the subliminal throb of Mount Sinai, a four part rumination that will plunge you deep down into the depths of techno meditation. "Part 1" is a sumptuous affair that places the undulating bass front and centre for a long, entrancing ride, while "Part 2" weaves delicate chiming tones and subtle percussive ripples into the mix with ample reverb dripping over everything. "Part 3" is where things really space out with a high frequency wall of sound that has a coruscating effect, and then "Part 4" plunges right back into the depths with a low end pulse and distant dread pads that will leave a distinct chill in the room.
