Premiere – Drum Dance’s steamy, Latin-edged ‘Body Heat’ from inaugural ‘Zani!’ EP
Hear the Liverpudlian veteran launching new label Into The Cosmos

Drum Dance is a UK-based DJ, producer and avid record digger of almost 20 years, involved in many different projects throughout that time including running club-nights in Liverpool, holding down radio shows, putting out tunes and DJing all over from Liverpool to Manchester to Croatia.
Boasting a wide array of influences – everything from Chicago footwork to Afrofuturism of Sun Ra – he launches his a new project and his own Into The Cosmos label with the confident four track ‘Zani!’ EP.
“The EP is a melting pot of sounds, taking influence from Mali’s incredible Zani Diabaté & Le Super Djata Band right through to Chicago footwork and the LA beat scene, disco, jazz, dub, ambient & more leftfield sounds,” he tells us. “As a lover of all different music from across the world I naturally enjoy experimenting in those interesting spaces in between, connecting the dots and hopefully creating something a little bit fun and different. I like to think this EP does that and gives a small taste of what’s to come from the label!”
On ‘Body Heat’ – which we premiere here – he says: “‘Body Heat’ is a low-slung Latin flavoured boogie number with a percussion filled four-to-the-floor beat, steamy disco vocals, jazzy keys and a boomin’ low-end.”
