Jack Jones shares video for thumping house anthem ‘Who Let The Bass Pump Through The Floor’

Welsh poet, musician and Pete Doherty-collaborator on top form

Jack Jones of Trampolene and Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres has released his live favourite ‘Who Let the Bass Pump Through The Floor’ as a single through Strap Originals, ahead of the release of his eponymous debut album on September 20.

“It’s a song about inclusion,” the Welsh singer, poet and musician told Juno Daily. “It’s a song about having no borders and no boundaries when it comes to love and being human and, most importantly, surviving a house party.”

The song has become the showstopping climax to Jones’ solo live sets.

“When we first started drinking as young kids, we couldn’t get into pubs or anything, so we used to always have house parties… It was just an excuse to find someone’s flat and destroy it. The song’s the idea of people arriving from the street, and coming in, each with their own back-story. It’s a bit of a banger!”

The video for Who Let The Bass Pump Through The Floor was shot over Glastonbury weekend by Barnaby Fairley, who also directed the video for previous single Breathe Jack performed three times at Glastonbury, twice solo and once with his band Trampolene.
