Little is known about the forthcoming drum machine, part of a series created in collaboration with techno royalty Richie Hawtin.
Erica Synths and Richie Hawtin have previously collaborated on the Bullfrog and Bullfrog XL synths, but it looks like a drum machine is also on the way. In a video from this year’s Superbooth festival, YouTuber Motobor demonstrates the new machine, described as “a sample-based drum machine with seven tracks, a simple interface, and an easy-to-use sequencer”.
Hawtin explains: ”As a producer who’s created many percussion-only tracks under my Plastikman moniker, it only makes sense to add a drum machine to our developing Bullfrog ecosystem. This exciting development will allow both novices and pros a new way to learn drum programming and enjoy some fun new capabilities that we plan to feature on our new machine!”
You can see and hear the Bullfrog Drums in action above. More info when we get it. For now, check out the full Erica Synths range here.
