Label Focus – Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream
Living the Dream

Known for three decades plus of dedicated service to the house and techno scenes, Lee Burridge’s deep, groovy take on filling the dancefloor has made him one of the best known and best loved names in dance music. Here, the man himself gives us an in depth guide to his label All Day I Dream.
WHAT’S THE NAME OF YOUR LABEL, AND WHO RUNS IT?
My main label is ‘All Day I Dream’ but I also have the sister label “All day I Dream In Waves’. I run the labels and do the A&R.
WHEN & WHY DID THE LABEL START?
I started ADID in 2012. I was making DJ mixes from 2007 and by 2010 had started an outdoor daytime event of the same name. The parties focussed musically on melody and emotion without it being overly dramatic. Deeper vibes. Minimal had been the leading sound out in clubland but I was missing the emotive feelings you got when you were at parties. No one was doing this at the time as a whole experience.
GIVE US A BRIEF SUMMARY OF WHAT YOU’VE RELEASED SINCE THEN….
Wow, so it started off with myself and Matthew Dekay. We released certain key tracks at the time like Fur De Liebe and Gemini Spell on ADID and also Lost in a Moment on Innervisions. This was followed by releases from Lauren Ritter, Powel, Lost Desert, Sebastien Leger, Roy Rosenfeld, Gorje and Izhevski, Yokoo, Tim Green, Double Touch, Facundo Mohrr, Valdovinos, Dim Kelly, Leyla Benitez, Amonita, Volen Sentir and many many more. Most of these artists were relatively unknown when I brought them onboard the label and at the events.
WHAT QUALITIES ARE YOU LOOKING FOR IN THE MUSIC YOU RELEASE?
The sound got quite defined over the past few years and quite often I get good tracks but they sound like other artists I support. I’m looking for music that makes me feel something, has an infectious groove and that tells it’s own story.
WHAT KIND OF VISUAL IDENTITY DOES THE LABEL HAVE (ARTWORK, VIDEOS ETC)?
It’s been the same since day one. An open blue sky with a single cloud.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST SELLING RELEASE TO DATE? TELL US A BIT ABOUT IT AND WHY YOU THINK IT WAS SO POPULAR.
We sell out of the vinyl each and every time. Digitally, I’m actually not sure. I know Sebastien Leger has established a lot of momentum over the past few years but Lingala from myself and Lost Desert and Fur Die Liebe from myself and Matthew Dekay have also continued to sell each and every year. Tim Green, Amonita and Roy Rosenfeld also hit the top of the sales charts each and every time too.
NAME ONE RELEASE THAT YOU THINK DESERVED TO GET MORE ATTENTION THAN IT DID
I’d say Dim Kelly – Nocturna Animal EP. It was in 2021 so weird times out in the world and, at the time, Dim was fairly new. His music is beautiful, tough, complex and rocks the dancefloor every time.
IF YOU COULD SIGN ANY ARTIST, ALIVE OR DEAD, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
Pink Floyd. The best musical journeys ever for me.
WHICH OTHER LABELS DO YOU ADMIRE AND WHY?
Anyone who obviously puts the love in. Solid Grooves springs to mind.
WHAT CAN WE LOOK TO FROM YOUR LABEL NEXT?
There are some great releases coming out in the coming months. Tim green, Dim Kelly, Facundo Mohrr, Fulltone and Rebelski.
