DJ Koze shares title track from Benedictine monastry-inspired new EP
Track features the vocals of American-German singer Sophia Kennedy
DJ Koze has shared the title track from his forthcoming ‘Wespennest’ EP, ahead of its release on July 28.
His first release since his worldwide club hit ‘Pick Up’ in 2018, the track features American-German singer Sophia Kennedy. It and its B-side track ‘Candidasa’ are apparently the result of DJ Koze’s stay in a secluded Benedictine monastery on the enchanting island of Indonesian island Sulawesi.
He reportedly composed all of the music of ‘Candidasa’ while lying on his stomach, in an act of deepest devotion and self-reflection.
His fourth album, which will be his first in six years, is marked for release in 2024, but fans needn’t wait that long to get their hands on fresh Koze meat. He’s also produced the new Róisín Murphy album Hit Parade, the the first full length project to emerge from her new deal with Ninja Tune, due out on September 8.
