Break announces fifth album and XOYO residency and shares Liam Bailey collab

Liam Bailey and the late MC Fats among the vocal talent on Digital World

Break, one of the drum & bass scene’s prime innovators, has announced details of his fifth album and shared an explosive collaboration with Liam Bailey called ‘Gunshot Love’ from it.

Digital World is released via Symmetry Recordings on vinyl on May 19 and also features collaborations with the late MC Fats, SP:MC, Lorna King and Code Red featuring Fox. Liam Bailey, meanwhile, guests on two tracks – ‘Gotta Believe’ as well as ‘Gunshot Love’

Break said: “‘Got Soul in a Digital World’ – was vocalist DeRobert’s line from the track I sampled for the title tune of this album. I can really relate to this sentiment and it sums up the whole ethos behind my album. The aim of this album musically was to create a collection of stand-alone songs which also do damage on the dancefloor. I was blessed to have this group of amazing vocalists involved to make that vision a reality.”

The album drops during Break’s four week residency at East London club XOYO, starting this Friday (May 5) and continuing every Friday night through May. Among the guests are Randall and Breakage – full line up below.
