The updated models include 10-inch and 12-inch full-range loudspeakers, plus 15-inch and 18-inch subs.
Pioneer DJ have announced a series of new releases under their XPRS2 series of PA speakers. The name isn’t a cheeky nod to UK house legends X-Press 2, but a reference to these new models being second-generation versions of the brand’s ‘versatile XPRSion’ XPRS series. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the XPRS2 models are high-quality mid-priced PA speakers suitable for DJ use, live musicians and public speaking.
The new releases include the XPRS102 loudspeaker, priced at £709 each, the XPRS122 at £799, the XPRS1152S sub at £799 and the XPRS1182S at £999. Breaking down the product names, the XPRS102 is the 10-inch full-range speaker, second generation, replacing the old XPRS10. The XPRS122 is the 12-inch model replacing the XPRS12. The XPRS1152S replaces the single-15” XPRS115S subwoofer and the XPRS1182S is a new single-18” reflex-loaded active sub. No word yet on replacements for the XPRS15 or XPRS215S dual-15” sub. You can find out more in the video above.
The XPRS2 series is expected to arrive later this year. Check out the full Pioneer DJ range here.
