Premiere – Endangered Musique share soulful house tour de force ‘Let It Go’

Get a first glimpse at Jose Chinga’s ‘Let It Go’

Endangered Musique, a new French-based label with a mission to share underexposed gems from the early days of dance culture, has shared a track from its inaugural EP exclusively with Juno Daily readers.

‘Let It Go’ by Jose Chinga – an alter ego of Tony Rodriguez – is from his four track ‘Tree House Shythms’ EP, set for release on April 1 and available to pre-order now.

Bryan Hervieu (D3 Elements) and good friend Patrick Luca (Saft/Pulp) formed the label to share their history with a new generation of vinyl buyers and DJs. They plan to “select music that they bought and spun back in the day, and that still gives them those goosebumps and bring back those memories, the record shops, the parties, radio shows, friends…”

Luca recalls being originally turned onto the release by a staff member at Tower Records, where he would visit with his Sony Walkman in hand in search of vinyl versions of his favourite tunes from the rave tapes he bought. The staff member recognized one track by Tony Rodriguez and said ‘We don’t have this anymore, but there is a record of one of his aliases Jose Chinga’. He left the building happy as hell with my first records, and I didn’t even have turntables!
