Take a final tour of the WMDevices factory
The Denver-based Eurorack manufacturer is closing its doors this year.
Founded in 2005, Colorado’s WMDevices announced last year that it was set to close its doors, citing supply chain issues and parts shortages as the root cause. “Times are tough for everyone,” read a statement. “The state of the world has destroyed our sales numbers while operating costs continue to rise… Our company is reliant on the development of new innovative products in the hardware realm, and we have watched our lead times for parts get pushed back from months to years, and there is no telling if some will actually come. This makes planning for the future impossible, and new product development unfulfilling.”
In a recent YouTube video, producer ill.Gates took a tour of the brand’s denver factory, going behind the scenes to see how WMD manufacture their own modules as well as those of other brands. You can watch the video in full above.
A small number of WMDevices modules are still available, while stocks last.
You can also pre-order the Subway crossfader module and Legion oscillator.
