Pioneer’s DDJ-FLX6 upgraded to GT spec
Just days after the launch of the new two-channel DDJ-FLX4 controller, Pioneer have announced an upgrade to the larger model in the versatile FLX range. The four-channel DDJ-FLX6 is to be replaced by the FLX6-GT, the GT apparently standing for Graphite in reference to the new colour scheme. Aside from the colour scheme, the jog wheels are updated with “ametallic texture on top and a rubberized coating on the outer ring for improved playability”. The GT also introduces support for VirtualDJ software in addition to Rekordbox and Serato (VirtualDJ support can be added to the original FLX6 via a free firmware update). You can see the original FLX6 in action above.
The Pioneer DDJ-FLX6-GT is expected in stock soon, priced around £539. The DDJ-FLX4 is available to pre-order now, priced at £279.
