The mighty ISE-NIN is a clone of Roland’s legendary Jupiter-8.
YouTuber Ricky Tinez has shared a video demonstrating some custom patches for the new Black Corporation ISE-NIN synth. The Jupiter-8 clone sounds just as lush and expansive as you’d hope as Tinez puts together analogue FM drum sounds, detuned oscillator effects and what he describes as ‘The Most Beautiful Patch I’ve Ever Made’. You can watch the video in full above.
The Tokyo brand is best known for the Deckard’s Dream, a rack-mounted analogue polysynth heavily inspired by the iconic (and hugely valuable) Yamaha CS-80. Other products in the range include the Xerxes (inspired by the Elka Synthex), Kijimi (based on the rare RSF Polykobol II) and Deckard’s Voice, a monophonic Eurorack module.
Logistical issues and parts supply problems have delayed the release of the ISE-NIN, but you can view the full Black Corporation range here.
