Leftfield enlist Fontaines D.C. singer for latest pre-album teaser

New track recalls the angry energy of classic ‘Open Up’

Leftfield have shared the third teaser from their forthcoming album, This Is What We Do.

‘Full Way Round’ sees the dancefloor pioneers in collaboration with Grian Chatten, the vocalist for one of the most acclaimed contemporary indie bands around, Fontaines D.C.  It’s described as a “thrilling combination of styles: Leftfield’s tough, electro-indebted production is punctuated by Chatten’s iconoclastic vocal delivery, every syllable delivered with purpose and a steely intent.”

Recorded in Leftfield’s studio in West London, ‘Full Way Round’ is imbued with the same raw sense of power that informed their famous link up with John Lydon, ‘Open Up’.

Leftfield said of the track: “‘Full Way Round’ was a perfect collaboration between beats and good vibes. Hard work and fun. Grian’s vocal is a free-flowing journey to be felt and experienced, rather than analysed. His energy and enthusiasm spits out from the speakers. Whenever I hear it, I’m reminded of the excitement in the studio when he recorded it.”

This Is What We Do is due out on December 2, and the duo recently announced a UK tour which sold out instantly – they will be performing in London, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester throughout December.
