Red Snapper head out on UK tour
There’s a new album too…

Red Snapper, celebrated veteran producers of infectious jazz/breakbeat fusion, have announced a 12 date tour in support of a new LP.
The duo, who have featured on labels as respected as Warp, V2 and Matasor, will also release a new album titled Everybody Is Somebody next month. It’s out through Lo Recordings, and comes preceded by a high flying single ‘Tarxzan’, currently turning heads with its blazing big band shuffle and red hot horns.

Formed in 1994, Red Snapper are best known for their unique sound and passionate live performances where they embrace dark funk, hip-hop, dub, psychedelic surf, afro-jazz and beautiful, fragile soundscapes. A compilation of their early EPs ‘Reeled and Skinned’ was released on Warp Records who consequently went on to put out the ground breaking debut album ‘Prince Blimey’ in 1996.
Over the last two decades the band have released a string of widely acclaimed albums – the current release will be their eighth – and, toured globally, supported the likes of Massive Attack, Bjork, The Prodigy, De La Soul and The Fugees and rem. They also acquired a reputation for their expansive remixing – reworking tunes by Trouble Funk, Garbage, Lamb and Edwyn Collins amongst others.
