The standard Model 9100 versions will be phased out, with the new 9100B model offering improved output circuits and tweaked headphone monitoring controls.
Japanese audiophile hardware gurus Alpha Recording System have announced some changes to the Model 9100 rotary mixer range. All new stock will now be based on the upgraded Model 9100B ‘broadcast-ready’ spec, with changes to the output stages giving lower impedance and better sound quality (600 ohms and 50 ohms respectively for the RCA and XLR outputs, as opposed to 1000 ohms and 100 ohms on the original Model 9100). The 9100B also features a continuous cue/mix/program rotary pot for the headphone output, as opposed to the toggle switch on the standard 9100. The 9100B will be available in standard desktop format with a metal case, or an optional version with wooden end cheeks.
The ARS Model 9100B is available to pre-order now, priced at £3,019.
