Chase & Status collaborate with Back Road Gee on new single ‘When It Rains’
‘When It Rains’ is first of a new stream of C&S productions this year
Chase & Status (Will Kennard and Saul Milton) are back with a new single, ‘When It Rains’, featuring Back Road Gee.
The new single is apparently the first of a while stream of new music to be released by the duo in the year ahead. It heavily samples lyrics from Metallica’s ‘Wherever I May Roam’.
It follows their drum n’ bass album RTRN II JUNGLE’, and the more recent announcement of their upcoming Parklife festival appearance this summer. It has been confirmed that the pair’s live show is back, and after an extended hiatus.
Chase & Status are known for their various bass music inspired hits throughout the 2010s, including ‘End Credits’ and ‘Blind Faith’, as well as their various collaborations with Plan B, Kano, Liam Bailey, Dizzee Rascal, Rihanna and Skrillex. Meanwhile, their collaborator on the track, Backroad Gee, is known for his breakout drill hit ‘Party Popper’, and has worked with Burna Boy, JME, Naira Marley, Ghetts and Pa Salieu.
