Fatboy Slim for Manchester NYE as party-starters join forces for New Year rave The Riot
Louie Vega and Jayda G also confirmed for massive Manc bash
Four key UK based nightlife promoters – Electric Chair, Repercussion, Homoelectric and The Warehouse Project – have announced an upcoming mega-rave, ‘The Riot’, at new Manchester venue The Depot.
‘The Riot’ will take place on New Year’s Day 2022, and will mark a first for Manchester’s history, since it is the first time four event planners have collaborated on one event in the city.
The night will welcome high-flying sets from various internationally renowned DJs, including The Blessed Madonna, Krystal Klear, Jayda G, Todd Terje, DJ Seinfeld, Gilles Peterson, Shanti Celeste, Hunee, Palms Trax, Moxie, Leon Vynehall, Erol Alkan, Ivan Smagghe, Louie Vega and A Love From Outer Space.
It is estimated that 300,000 revellers will have passed through The Depot’s doors by the end of 2021; ‘The Riot’ is taking place to celebrate this mass attendance, in the wake of the reopening of nightclubs after the COVID-19 lockdowns.
A further two parties have also been announced. Fatboy Slim headlines a New Years’ Eve party, along with longtime Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac. Even earlier, on December 18, Michael Bibi is set to play unsupported in the Depot, with a further array of special guests to be revealed.
The final 20 Warehouse Project events, set to take place in the coming years, have confirmed additional DJ sets from The Chemical Brothers, Honey Dijon, Jamie xx, Overmono, Solomun, Bicep, and Avalon Emerson.
