Museum Of Love reveal new video for ‘Hotel At Home’

Video is “a love letter to our New York” says director

Museum Of Love – consisting of members Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem) and Dennis McNany (Jee Day) – have released a new video for their album track ‘Hotel At Home’, streamable below:

The new track imagines a surreal New York hotel as its sonic world, working choirs, samples and strange electronics into its pop structure.

Together with the previously released singles ‘Cluttered World’ and ‘Marching Orders’, ‘Hotel At Home’ is taken from Museum Of Love’s recently-released album ‘Life Of Mammals’, which spans art rock, dance music, and pop. The album was mixed by James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and features guest appearances from Peter Gordon (The Love of Life Orchestra) and Matt Shaw.

Its music video, directed by Tim Saccenti, is a street-level tour of the city. Saccenti said: “We wanted to create a love letter to our New York. The everyday alleys, bodegas and invisible spaces that you won’t see on a postcard but are the texture of our life in NYC, and the things people miss most when they leave.”

The video is the latest in a series of new movements by the recently revitalized Skint Records, whose extensive repertoire of music and artists include Roisin Murphy, Lou Hayter, Absolute & Surya Sen.

Life Of Mammals is out now, with vinyl copies expected to surface on October 9 – pre-order here
