Corsica Studios appears to have survived Elephant fireball explosions intact, says co-founder
Massive fire took hold in the same road as well loved London club
Corsica Studios, one of the best loved club on the London nightlife map, appears to have escaped damage after massive explosions ripped through other buildings in the same street.
After seeing footage of fireballs in Elephant Street, South London, Juno Daily contacted the club, which inhabits numbers 4-5 in the small street close to Elephant and Castle train station.
“We were at work at Corsica today when this was all going off so we were right in the middle of it all,” said co-founder of the club Adrian James,. “It actually happened ion the arches a bit further down the road from us but it was a pretty serious incident and quite alarming all the same. I think Corsica will be ok but we haven’t been able to get back in to check yet!”
The club only recently returned to action after the pandemic and has several important events planned this week including screening of the England v Germany football game tomorrow (Tuesday June 29) and a live show by Snapped Ankles on June 30. All bookings remain on at this stage, but check the website for updates..
