Specifications are identical to the black SL-1210 model, which returned to production in 2019.
Technics have announced the launch of the SL-1200 MK7 DJ turntable this summer. It’s identical in function and specifications to the SL-1210 MK7 with the exception of its silver finish, as opposed to the black of the 1210.
Previous generations of the iconic DJ turntable have been available in both silver and black finishes. Until now, the MK7 version has only been available in black (confusingly known as the SL-1200 in the USA).
It’s entirely a matter of personal taste, but purists might well argue that silver is the classic colour for the SL turntable series, given that it was the only option for a lot of SL models, including the original MK1 SL1200.
