Pioneer’s new VM series monitors promise club-style sound in the studio
The all-new VM-50, VM-70, and VM-80 active monitor speakers include DSP features.
Pioneer DJ have announced an all-new range of studio monitors which promise to recreate ‘club-style’ sound at home. The VM series is available in three sizes, from the smaller VM-50s (5.25-inch woofers) to the VM-70s (6.5-inch woofers) and the larger VM-80s (8-inch woofers).
Pioneer are keen to focus on the technical abilities of the VM series, with 4mm thick aluminium front baffles to increase cabinet rigidity, class D amplifiers, digital signal processing at 96 kHz sampling rates, and constant directivity horn-style waveguides for even frequency response.
Prices start from £159 per unit for the VM-50s, which are available in black or white finishes. VM-70s and VM-80s are only available in black.
The Pioneer DJ VM series is expected to arrive in early April.
