Roland’s new all-in-one production studio is aimed at solo artists.
All new from Roland for 2021, the Verselab MV-1 is a standalone production workstation that offers beatmaking, recording, synths, drums, samples and effects in a single box. Falling somewhere between a groovebox, an MPC-style sampler and a multi-track recorder, you can see it in action below.
As an all-in-one unit, all you need to get started with the MV-1 is a pair of headphones or suitable monitor speakers. You can then expand your setup with other instruments and accessories such as MIDI controllers, microphones, instruments or effects depending on your approach to making music.
The MV-1 offers over 3,000 synth and drum sounds based on Roland’s ZEN-Core sound engine. Whether you prefer step sequencing or real-time pad-bashing, the unique Workflow strip guides you through the process of creating loops and clips, arranging them into a song structure, adding vocals, mixing and adding effects.
The Roland Verselab MV-1 will be available soon, priced at £615.
