PreSonus announce new budget studio subwoofer, the Sub8
Affordable new Eris subwoofer promises to help you mix crucial low frequencies.
PreSonus have announced a new subwoofer as part of their affordable Eris range. The Eris Sub8 is an 8-inch model designed for studio use, designed to work with Eris monitors but also compatible with any other studio speakers. It boasts impressive specs for the price point, helping to fill in the crucial low frequencies to help you produce mixes that translate on club sound systems. Check out PreSonus’s intro video below.
PreSonus already make a very good sub in the form of the Tremblor T10, but the Eris Sub8 comes in more than £100 cheaper at a very affordable £180.99. It’s rated down to 30 Hz, with a 100-watt amp and front-firing bass reflex design giving it a peak output of 113 dB. As well as working for production, it would also work well for home DJ setups, helping to reproduce sub-bass frequencies below the frequency range of most monitors and speakers.
The PreSonus Eris Sub8 8-inch subwoofer is expected to arrive early in 2021. You can find out more here.
