Elmono returns to Cold Recordings
Pinch’s label will release a four-track EP by the unheralded producer.
It’s been three years now that Pinch’s Cold Recordings has been in operation, staying true to its maxim that the label is “an outlet for new movements in the ever evolving UK hardcore-continuum.” In Cold Recordings short existence the label has stayed true to it template of drawing from styles and sub-genres like acid house, hardcore, jungle, UK garage and dubstep with records by Batu, Acre, Ipman and label boss-man Pinch helping redefine what UK club music is about today. It was, however, a two-track Elmono 12″ which inaugurated the label in 2013 that was then described as “introspective dancefloor cuts for restless minds.”
Elmono now returns and brings Cold Recordings its first full EP since Acre’s Burning Memories of 2014 which doubles as the label’s first release of the year. Entitled the Elmono EP, it’s been described as “blurring the definitions of house and techno in cosmic style,” and it supplies Elmono with a second record overall which follows Welsh producer Kinzy’s debut on Cold with The Experience 12″. Preview all four tracks from the dark and dubby four-track below.
Cold Recordings will release the Elmono EP by Elmono on March 3.
