Korg reveal new analogue polysynth

The Japanese manufacturer have unveiled a new synth called Minilogue.

When it comes to synthesisers Korg is a household name alongside Bob Moog. The Japanese company surfaced in the late 1960s and throughout the experimental age of the 1970s and 1980s they were a pivotal force in the development of electronic music. To this day Korg remain a bastion of electronic music production and in the past three years alone the manufacturer have continued developing and releasing new makes or updated models of kit like the MS20 mini synthesiser, ARP Odyssey, SQ-1 sequencer and MS-20 modules to the affordable Volca groovebox range.

Now, as RA report, Korg deliver a new polysynth called Minilogue. Powered by a four voice analogue engine and two oscillators, the Minilogue comes replete with ADSR envelopes and LFO functionality, plus other additions like a noise generator, filter and 16-step polyphonic note motion sequencer which allows you to record sequences. Furthermore an arpeggiator has been installed as has a delay unit, with other other on board options including things like sidechain possibilities and a bank of presets. Korg will release the Minilogue polysynth for a recommended retail price of $500 US on January 21. Pre-order over at Juno.
