Dietrich Schoenemann’s archives raided by The Corner
The mastering engineer and long term New York techno fixture will issue 9Clicks through Anthony Parasole’s label later this month.
Dietrich Schoenemann’s role in helping to shape New York’s electronic music scene from the mid-’90s onwards under the Prototype 909 alias and others cannot be understated. Even if you are not familiar with all of Schoenemann’s various endeavours as a producer, it is likely you own at least one techno record that features his name amongst the credits. Thanks to his role as head of Complete Mastering, Schoenemann has had a technical hand in well over 400 records, with labels of the calibre of Mike Parker’s Geophone, Mahogani, W.T. Records and The Corner serviced this year alone.
The latter, operated by Anthony Parasole, has been granted a rare dig through the Schoenemann archives for their next release which is due out later this month. Entitled 9Clicks, the four-track 12″ features unreleased productions from Schoenemann dating back to the ’90s which have been sourced from DAT tape. This trawl through Schoeneman’s archive represents the latest release in a fine year for The Corner following the excellent Civil Duty LP and singles by Phil Moffa and Parasole himself. Preview tracks from 9Clicks below.
The Corner will release 9Clicks by Dietrich Schoenemann in late November.
