Lutto Lento next for Oficyna Transatlantyk
The Mondo Hehe EP will arrive on Zambon’s label later this month – preview here.
The Poland Rising feature from Matt Anniss we published in late July was undoubtedly one of the most popular in-depth pieces to have run on Juno Plus so far this year, and hopefully a fair reflection of the rising scenes and communities proliferating within the country’s cities. One of the individuals profiled in that feature, Lutto Lento, is undoubtedly a central figure in this new generation of Polish electronic musicians thanks to excellent 12″ releases on From The Depths and Where To Now? and a contribution to the Look Into The Bowels Of The Polish House Underground compilation from Oficyna Transatlantyk.
When we spoke to Lento at the time his WTN? release was announced, the Polish artist alluded a full debut for Zambon’s Oficyna Transatlantyk label was in the works, describing the forthcoming 12″ as “rather cheery, anthropological music.” Due out at the end of the month and available to stream in full below, the six-track Mondo Hehe EP lives up to the artist’s description with plenty of strange vocal samples and the odd bit of scratching to catch you off guard.
Oficyna Transatlantyk will release the Mondo Hehe EP by Lutto Lento on September 30.
