The Charlois summer release schedule takes shape
Roberto Auser, Herzel and Cliff Lothar feature on the Pinkman offshoot’s next batch of 12″s.
Run by Patrick Marsman from his Rotterdam locale, the Pinkman label has developed a modest catalogue of releases since opening in 2013. The likes of Vincent Koreman’s Drvg Cvltvre project, DJ Overdose, Crème Organization contributor Innershades and Xosar are just some of the names to appear across the label’s catalogue. Late last year Pinkman created sister-label Charlois, an alternative platform to allow Marsman to “focus more on the disco, electro, wave and weirdo synth things.” Inaugurated by Dollkraut, Charlois went on to release the Love & Columbium EP from Crimes of the Future man Timothy J. Fairplay at the turn of the year and is now readying a double dose of 12″ action in time for the summer months.
No stranger to the Pinkman cause, Dutch DJ, producer and hat enthusiast Roberto Auser (real name Derk Reneman, pictured above) will add some Lowlands weight to Charlois with the upcoming Extraterrestrial 12″. The three tracks from Auser cover everything from “tripping intergalactic tribal electro to southern space disco.” Complementing this, Charlois will also release a new Herzel record from Macedonian artist Aleksandar Grozdanovski, last seen on the Hivern Discs label. Entitled The Way U Feel, the four-track 12″ features a remix from Viewlexx and Skudge White artist Cliff Lothar which is an EP highlight alongside the emotional tones of “Transire”. Previews of both Charlois releases can be heard below.
Charlois will release Extraterrestrial by Roberto Auser and The Way U Feel by Herzel in early July.
