Gravats to release Judgement Mixtape
Low Jack and Jean Carval’s next offering is a mix CD of exclusively Black Zone Myth Chant material.
Toward the end of last year the Edition Gravats was created in the aim of releasing “solo works and unexpected collaborations from French artists.” Following that first 7″ by Low Jack alias Gravats, the label have been true to their word, putting out a cassette mix of psychedelic French sounds from Antinote founder Quentin Vandewalle, to providing the platform for Black Zone Myth Chant to release his rather unclassifiable second album Mane Thecel Phares.
It seems the French operation is well endowed with Black Zone Myth Chant productions, so much so they’ve decided to follow up the album with a mix CD of “old to more recent unreleased tracks, sketches, loops, acapellas, beats,” that have been “chopped, screwed, edited and mixed” by Low Jack (pictured above). The mix CD, entitled Judgement Mixtape , comes in two parts, “I Am The Knowledge Of My Name” and “I Have Seen The Two Worlds As One” and the label have called it “an altered perspective on Black Zone Myth Chant’s esoteric dimensions,” that’s “DMTrippy-as-hell.” Preview some of the mixtape’s sounds below.
Editions Gravats will release Judgement Mixtape by Black Zone Myth Chant later this month.
