Mono Junk returns to Forbidden Planet

Forbidden Planet has eased itself into many collector and selectors’s affections thanks to a combination of Jurg Haller’s refined musical tastes and the striking illustrative contributions of Paul Gondry. A recent and highly recommended feature with the pair over on RBMA revealed it was a shared taste in “science fiction, anime and dark music” that brought them together and the rest is history. Last year saw the label assist in the creative revival of Kimmo ‘ Mono Junk’ Rapatti and the veteran Finnish producer is set to return with more material for the label next month which you can preview below. The rousing utopian strains of final track “Maaliskuu” are a particular highlight.
