Morgan Buckley is Shplittin’ the Stones
Stream a track from the young Dublin producer’s upcoming split LP on Rush Hour’s No ‘Label’.
If we were to admit any oversights in the end of year rundown that ran earlier this month, it would probably be the absence of Morgan Buckley’s startling 12″ debut Shout Out To All The Weirdos In Rathmines from our top 50 singles list. Surfacing quite appropriately on No ‘Label’, Rush Hour Distribution’s in-house platform for outlier electronics, Buckley’s record laughed cheekily in the face of genre fascists and gained a notable fan in electro protagonist Gesloten Cirkel.
We’re quite excited to discover there is further material from Buckley due next on the same Rush Hour label in the shape of Shplittin’ the Stones, a split LP with the hitherto unknown OD. If you didn’t pick up on Shout Out To All The Weirdos In Rathmines, consider the below 10 minutes of magically cosmic oddwave a perfect introduction to a most interesting new artist. He could do with some press shots though!
