Mad Dip Revue by Madteo set for vinyl reissue
Fit Sound sub-label Est. 83′ will issue a vinyl edition of The Italian’s excellent The Trilogy Tapes cassette next month.
Originally released back in August 2012, TTTree Low G. Tapes: Mad Dip Revue contained some 45 minutes of murky original material from Madteo and remains both a highlight of his storied discography and our favourite tape issued on The Trilogy Tapes thus far. Given the quality and limited nature of the release, it’s only natural there would be a degree of clamour for it to be redistributed in a more widely available format and it seems that has now been answered by Aaron Siegel’s Fit operation.
As Resident Advisor report, Mad Dip Revue will see a vinyl release next month through Est. 83′ Records, a rarely used sub label of Siegel’s Fit Sound. The producer himself has previously revealed to us via Twitter the record will consist of edited down versions of the original tape, with both sides containing some 17 minutes of material. In addition Sex Tags co-founder DJ Sotofett has been employed to remaster the material for vinyl and The Trilogy Tapes boss Will Bankhead has also been commissioned to revise his original artwork for this new issue.
Update: Madteo has confirmed to us via email that this edition will present the original, unreleased material as two continuous pieces each consisting of six tracks, one of which is a short edit of “Laissez-Faire Couture” from his 2013 Strumpetocracy 12″ for Nuearth Kitchen. As yet the tracklisting has not been finalised.
Est 83′ Records will release Mad Dip Revue by Madteo in mid-November.
