Hessle Audio returns with Bruce

The label announces its first release of the year, from rising UK producer Bruce.

After showing up in tracklistings for Hessle Audio’s Rinse FM show during the summer, the question “Who is Bruce?” was answered last month when full details of his Dnuos Ytivil debut emerged. Hailing from Bath, his record for the Livity Sound sub-label showed his fondness for weighty, swung techno drums of the type you’d expect to hear from the label, while the above press shot shows him to be more in touch with nature than some of his peers in the world of UK techno.

Though his debut record is yet to arrive, details of his rumoured record for Hessle Audio have just slipped out together with an enticing preview, which can be streamed below. The three-track release, shows a slightly different side to the producer, with three minimalistic techno productions of the sort you might expect to hear on Acido or Sued. Due in October, the record is the label’s first on the year so far, and on the basis of the previews, demonstrating Hessle Audio’s quality over quantity approach continues to pay dividends.

Hessle Audio will release HES027 on 12″ and digital formats on October 27.
