Marco Shuttle and Donato Dozzy team up as Anxur
The Italian producers join forces on a forthcoming 12″ on Shuttle’s Eerie label.
Donato Dozzy isn’t a producer shy of the occasional collaborative project; as well as his famed Voices From The Lake project with Neel, the Italian has worked with Mike Parker, Tin Man and Nuel across what has been a storied career in techno thus far. News now emerges that Dozzy has added another collaborative endeavour to his profile with some material recorded with fellow Italian Marco Shuttle (pictured above) under the name Anxur, due for release on the latter’s Eerie label.
Given the pair’s mutual love of deeply psychedelic techno, a team up makes perfect sense, and The Anxur Takes Vol. 1 looks to be the first in an ongoing series of joint releases from the duo. The record comes described by a press release from the label as having an “experimental, dark and hypnotic edge,” while “maintaining quite a straight 4/4 dancefloor vibe,” with Mika Vainio’s early minimal productions a point of comparison for A-side track “Volo 1”. Those wishing to check out clips of the record ahead of its release next month can do so at the Clone website.
Eerie will release The Anxur Takes Vol. 1 on 12″ and digital formats on September 20.
