Gunnar Haslam lands on planet Delsin
Listen to the title-track from the American producer’s forthcoming debut on the Dutch label.
Gunnar Haslam introduced himself to the wider world in auspicious fashion last summer with the album Mimesiak issued on L.I.E.S. and since then the publicity-shy producer has gone on to grace Chicago-based label Argot, Mister Saturday night and collaborate with Tin Man as Romans. In January the producer provided a second release for Ron Morelli’s label with the Porte Maillot EP, and it’s now that Gunnar Haslam sails his productions across the Atlantic to dock a four-track Ataxia No Logos EP on Delsin.
By the sounds of the title cut, which you can stream below, Claro Intelecto’s recent output for the Dutch label may be have been what inspired both parties to release this record, with the fluctuating electro basslines and frenetic sequencing similar to those heard on Intelecto’s recent Stanza EP. Gunnar Haslam’s Delsin debut also marks the onset of a new series from the Dutch label entitled Cameron with fellow L.I.E.S. graduate Voiski and Shlømo also pencilled in to contribute.
