DJ Richard serves up some more White Material

Preview the Berlin-based producer’s forthcoming 12″ on the White Material label.

White Material was undoubtedly one of last year’s breakthrough labels, with co-founders Young Male, Galcher Lustwerk and DJ Richard all seeing their distinct brand of house and techno pressed on some of the year’s most in-demand records. Although the music of Galcher Lustwerk placed highly in many end of year lists and Young Male released an EP for Spencer Parker’s Work Them label in December, DJ Richard hasn’t had a full release to his name since the release of his Leech2 12″ at the end of 2012.

The label have now revealed details of the label’s fifth record, which will see DJ Richard – who provided us with an excellent podcast last month – make a return with four tracks of slamming ghetto-influenced house and techno. Available to preview below, the forthcoming 12″ is even more energetic than his debut, with only the deeper late night chords of “Freydis” offering any respite from the slamming mechanical rhythms of the rest of the EP. There’s no release date yet, but as with all White Material’s records to date, expect them to sell out fast when they do arrive.
