Aurora Halal and Ital unite for upcoming Lovers Rock 12″

Having recently restarted his Lovers Rock label with the excellent Throbbing/Nodding single, Brooklyn-based house experimentalist Daniel Martin-McCormick – better known as Ital – recently revealed to us that he plans to expand the imprint next year with an EP of “crackling soundscapes” from Earthen Sea and a record of collaborations between himself and Aurora Halal, the mastermind behind Brooklyn’s Mutual Dreaming parties. McCormick has just posted the first hint of that collaborative record on his Soundcloud page, with the pulsating analogue bass and simmering pads which unfold over the seven minutes of the below unnamed track showing that the pair’s material is shaping up to be one of the musical highlights of next year.
