Some new Lauer due on Running Back!

Solo material from Phillip Lauer has been largely absent this year, with the former Arto Mwambe member focusing on further establishing the Tuff City Kids project as a production force alongside Gerd Janson (that’s the hirsute pair pictured above). Their second EP of original material emerged on the Delsin House Series a few months back, and we’ve seen Tuff City Kids remix credits appear on a wide variety of labels including Internasjonal, Phantasy, DFA, Visionquest and Mojuba.

Those craving some original Lauer material will be happy to hear Phil has a new EP forthcoming on Gerd’s ever dependable Running Back label, with the forthcoming four track Laui XIV EP the first solo material from Lauer since his excellent Muscat Ring Down for Beats In Space last year. You can stream the lead track “Tyler” below which will immediately please fans of Lauer’s effervescent, rich take on “Post-house-proto-disco-trance rockets”.
