More laid back Moon B due on PPU
Atlanta-based Moon B makes a swift return to PPU with some new material – soak up “Sussegad” here.
Both the masterfully lo-fi modern funk of his PPU debut and the subsequent analogue thump of Moon B’s more recent Entropic Feelings 12″ for newcomers Going Good have been characterised by a nonchalant disregard for the art of the track title, rife as they are with “untitled” arrangements.
Consumed with creative urges after performing at and experiencing Brooklyn party Mutual Dreaming last month, Moon B got busy in his Atlanta lab with the results forthcoming on a PPU 12″. This forthcoming release features highlights from his self-titled debut pressed up loud alongside as yet unconfirmed remixes as well as two new cuts which demonstrate that the self-professed bona fide hardware freak has added track titles to his arsenal. The name “Sussegad” possibly takes its cue from the Goan phrase describing their unhurried pace of life which certainly translates well to this sublime slice of cassette funk.
