Listen: Marc Piñol – Arrebato

Marc Pinol’s credentials as one of Hivern Disc’s most under-appreciated gems are displayed once more on “Arrebato”, his contribution to the forthcoming second Hiverned 10″.

Hiverned 02 spreads across record stores next week and a lot of attention will be shone on the A Side’s Badalamenti riffing “Invitation To Love” from the unknown TB, but for fans of obscure minimal syth tracks like us there’s plenty to enjoy in Pinol’s contribution. Featuring whispered vocals in an unknown dialect that suggests the label’s proclamation the track originates from Australia is deliberate subterfuge, it’s a wonderfully soaring slice of motorik synth that has us pondering what other rare gems Pinol is hoarding in his record collection.
