Listen: Prosumer’s Elbee Bad mix for Rush Hour

Erstwhile Panorama Bar resident DJ Prosumer have produced a sterling hour-long mix to herald the imminent arrival of Rush Hour’s Elbee Bad reissue. 

The German DJ has mixed up some classic Elbee material, including the timeless Body Mechanix Authentic Garage Groove version of “The True Story Of House Music” and more of the breathy, sultry house music associated with the New York producer.

With record shop shelves currently buckling under the weight of derivative and generally uninspiring rip-offs of classic NY house, it’s pleasing to see the focus shift to one of the scene’s progenitors.  The mix should serve to whet appetites ahead of the release of Elbee Bad: The Prince Of Dance Music – The True Story Of House Music across 2xLP, CD and digital formats on October 8.
